Use the Genealogy and Historical Collection

The library has an extensive collection of genealogical materials including local family histories, cemetery records and other items of interest.

 The large meeting room at the library also houses the historical artifacts and memorabilia of Ellsworth past.  The room is open during the library hours for viewing materials.              

Copies of the former Ellsworth News and the present South Hamilton Record/News are now digitized, and can be found online at .
Old sports and war uniforms have been given for viewing.  Also a 1912 graduation dress is on display.

All the year books of Ellsworth Consolidated School and South Hamilton School are included in the book section. 
Old pictures have been organized in books for easy reference. 
Ellsworth, school and family scrap books have been donated.

Tribute to those who servedA Tribute to Those Who Served in the Armed Forces list has been compiled and is on display.  





Leone Coates' donated autograph quilt.


A celebrities quilt was donated by the Leone Coates family. Many former movie stars, radio personalities and politicians have signed quilt blocks which were embroidered by Mrs. Coates.









EHS sports trophies won in 1950's


All the sports trophies won during the Ellsworth Consolidated School days can be viewed in the trophy case.
