Ellsworth Public Library hosts a variety of programs.

The card playing group consists of seniors who play '500'. Anyone is welcome to join the group.
The coffee group often becomes a coffee and coloring group. Adult coloring pages, bookmarks to color, dot-to-dots for adults, and color by number for adults, along with gel pens are provided. We haven't gotten any of the men to color yet, but we are working on it! All adults are welcome to join us.
We also have individual computer training available. Learn basic or even some advanced skills. These days it seems you almost have to haven email to do anything. I will help you set it up and train you how to use it. Facebook opens up a whole new world to you. If you are a parent or grandparent and would like an easy way to keep in contact with the children in your life, or if you just want to keep in contact with friends, Facebook is the way to go. You can send messages, and you don't even need a stamp or envelope! View pictures of loved ones, and find plenty of inspiration and jokes. And you can do these things on a daily basis if you choose to. I wish we had Facebook when my grandma was still alive! I would have loved that regular contact with her! I do have several elderly friends on Facebook, so I know you older folks that don't think you can do it, can do it! If you aren't sure if you are interested, and would like to take a look at it first, stop in, and I will show you my Facebook page so you can get an idea of what it is all about. No matter what age or IQ, give me a call!
The library provides a yearly summer reading program for children and young adults.
Additional events are held throughout the year. Past events have included family game nights, movie nights, and miscellaneous educational programs.
If you have an idea for a program, please call and discuss it with me. I'm always open to hearing suggestions.
